Rock Hall of Famer Bruce Springsteen strummed his guitar last week alongside a New Jersey couple as the lovebirds posed for engagement photos on a beachfront bench. Ed Dwyer and Jennifer Smith of Brick were walking with their photographer on the Manasquan, N.J., inlet when they spotted the Boss enjoying the last day of summer.
Dwyer, 32, was toting a guitar – which soon wound up in Springsteen’s hands.”I figured if five people are hanging out and one of them is Bruce, he should have the guitar,” Dwyer told the Asbury Park Press. “So I passed it to him.”
As Springsteen played and chatted with the couple, photographer Kella MacPhee snapped away. A clearly delighted Smith was captured smiling between her boyfriend and the Boss. Springsteen, barefoot and sporting sunglasses, “was real laid back and chill,” Dwyer said. The Sept. 20 session was over in minutes, a permanent memento of a glorious day for Dwyer and his 26-year-old fiancee.
The couple’s wedding date is set for Oct. 23, where the pair expects the DJ to liven up the reception with some Springsteen – on CD.
Here is a funny video from Zac Wylde. Check it out, I thought it was pretty funny!
I don’t know about you but playing Guitar Hero is allot of fun but also is a frustrating experience because I can actually play a real guitar much better that the mock guitar controller. A new game will be coming out that hopefully will fix this issue. It’s called Power Gig: Rise of the SixString.
Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band, and Kid Rock have entered into agreements with Seven45 Studios to provide songs for this system. This new video game uses a functioning six-string electric guitar for the controller!
The guitar features Seven45′s proprietary technology that can distinguish and recognize gamers’ input all along the guitar, making the guitars as easy to pick up and play as any other band-game button controllers. They also include all the guts of an electric guitar so players can plug it into any standard amp.
Power Gig also introduces the option to switch on chording, which presents the added challenge of playing the game using chords that require specific finger placement on the strings. As players progress through the game, becoming more comfortable with a genuine guitar and potentially choosing to play real power chords, they will find that the byproduct of playing the game is coming away from it with an understanding of real guitar fundamentals.
This sounds very exciting to me and may be a good way to have fun playing a game and also learn how improve your guitar playing at the same time!
The game will be available for the PlayStation and Xbox 360 this October. Learn more at powergig.com.
Here is one of the funniest air guitar videos I have ever seen! It’s hilarious you got to check it out.
I found this funny picture of a camel carrying some guitars and gear. Thought it was pretty funny, definitely a good use of the camel!
Get this, a Japanese company called K’s Japan is offering a guitar that’s made to get destroyed. And, after you smashed the thing to bits, you can recycle it. So you can look cool and smash this thing to pieces without sacrificing a real instrument (hmmm maybe a cool video to do
).
The eco-friendly guitar, aptly named SMASH, is available in either black or white (see picture to the left). When you smash the guitar, you’ll be able to hear a special “devastating” sound coming from it (at least that is what the company says).
This is too funny! K’s Japan says every single part of the instrument, which weighs 2.5kg, is recyclable. If you send the parts back to the company, they will reassemble them to create a new guitar that can be given to charity.

Did you know there is actually a national air guitar competition? This is hilarious, you need to watch the video below!
